Giving it all I've got...

Today's challenge? Create an in-home workout that uses EVERY piece of exercise equipment I own, including resistance bands, a jump rope, 12, 10 and 8k kettlebells, 10, 5 and 2lb dumbells, a pilates ring and an exercise ball. Here's what I ended up doing.

Hip Bridge Extensions on Exercise Ball- 15 x 2
Straight Leg Hip Bridge on Exercise Ball- 15 x 2
30 Jumping Jacks w/ 2lb weights in each hand
KB Double Handed Swings with 12k bell- 30
Resistance Band Deadlifts 15x3
Bicep Curl Variations (Hammer, Turned Out, Trad) with 10 lb dumbells- 15x3
Alternating Snatches with 10k bell (10/arm)
100 jump rope turns
Rear Lunges with 8k bell press (10/leg)
Pilates Ring Crunch 10 x 3
100 jumprope turns
Punch variations (jab and upper cut) with 5lb dumbells- 30/arm

It's pretty crappy out today, but relatively warm. If the rain stops, I'm going to try to convince Joe to go for a run later! Wish me luck! (Update- I the quick 2.4 mile loop from my house to Manhattan Beach and back after I put dinner in the oven).

Mmmmmmm....

What exercise equipment do you have at home? How frequently do you use it?

We have a treadmill, a pull up bar, DBs from 5# to 30#, 8# medicine ball, jump rope, exercise ball, 10# kb, resistance band, and a homemade punching bag (we filled a humongous duffel bag with old clothes), and we can definitely get our sweat on at home!

Have a great w/o!! Hope you get to for a run later!

Treadmill, pull up bar and ab straps, bench, exercise ball, 12 10 and 8lb medicine balls. Adjustable db's that go from 5-75lbs, weighted bar, jump ropes, cones, resistance bands, stackable steps, mini ab ball, dvds, etc...we kinda have a tendency to "collect" workout stuff. I prefer the gym but lately I've been doing my workouts at home so the equipment comes in handy. Plus we use it for classes and training. Pretty jealous of your kettlebells!! :D Hope the rain stops for you.

Hi Keelie! Welcome back! I JUST ordered a yoga DVD for endurance athletes and am looking at icoporating that to my home routine. The med ball is a mainstay too!

Treadmill, Spin Bike, Pulll-up bar, resistance bands, kettlebells (15 & 20 lb), exercise ball, medicine ball, jump rope, some dbs and a bench in the garage. I don't go to a gym so I use my equipment pretty frequently, mostly the treadmill, the pull-up bar w bands for assistance and my kettlebells :)

I like to incorporate lots of bodyweight exercises as well.

Wow! I'm jealous of everyone's home gym! A treadmill is #1 on my list of things to get when I don't live in a studio apartment anymore...
