My transition back to the real world was smooth... I arrived at my dad's house after my latest adventure on Monday and spent some QT with the fam before heading back to NYC...
I come from a trampoline-ninja family... You knew that already, though...
This counts as cross-training right? Of course it does...
They did a Biggest-Loser challenge at my dad's gym, and he won! SO proud. :) I'm not terribly proud of his choice of hat, but I'll let him have that one....
Today was my first day back to teaching. It. Was. Wonderful. One class gave me a standing ovation when I walked in the door. I highly recommend working with kids for a serious morale boost... It has elevated me to near rockstar status- they scream my name as I approach the school and anytime I walk past their classroom. Score.
My commute to work is a smooth 2.5 miles each way, walking down the Coney Island Boardwalk. I'm aware of how lucky I am...
I have MISSED running like a crazy person, and I'm excited to get back into the swing- the Bronx 1/2 marathon is 7 short weeks away!!!
The folks at HoneyStinger sent me the most baller sample pack ever. I. Am. Stoked. I resisted the urge to eat it all for breakfast... I'll be trying out one of their gels (read about my GEL HELL here) on tomorrow's long run (distance TBD)... they're supposed to taste just like honey (instead of turd, like most gels).
AND... In other news...
I've been asked by Wellsphere to present at their inaugural NYC Conference. WAHOOOOO. I'm setting up a meeting with them this week or next week to discuss details... I'll let you all know when they have everything finalized! :)
What sorts of things do YOU like to hear about at fitness/ wellness conferences???
I'm off to take another Bikini Burlesque Bootcamp! :)
