Girls Day with Ellen Stein!

Girls days are always fun, especially when they're with your kick-ass trainer/ surrogate mom/ PR rep, Ellen Stein. If you're involved in competitive powerlifting, her name will sound familiar. She. Is. A. Beast. (In the best way possible). World Champion Master's Powerlifter, animal activist, volunteer, personal trainer extraordinaire, and the inspiration for my fitness obsession.

This is her this past weekend. Animal.

We started out with pedicures and iced coffee.

Yes, I have busted dancer feet... don't judge.

And then we moved on to Ellen's favorite sushi joint! They call her "Lucky Girl" because she orders her sushi and then goes to buy lottery tickets.

It was boiling hot, but I still had some miso soup. Mmmm...

Ellen is too tiny for the table...

She got a Dragon Roll- her favorite.
We might as well be related... we make the same faces...

I rocked the chicken teriyaki, which was delicious, but not at all what I wanted. I realized this the instant after I placed my order. Does anyone else ever do that?

After our afternoon date, Ellen dropped me off at home, where I did some computer work and Joe fixed dinner!

Artichoke pasta stirfry with tofu! SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD! :)

How was your Sunday? Did you break a sweat? Eat anything delicious?
