Gettin' My Groove On

I was STARVING this AM... I think my appetite is returning. YAY! :)

I started out with an egg-white omelet with a bit of shredded cheese...

But I was starving again an hour later, so I had some bran flakes to keep me full...

As you may or may not know, I am the Queen of Crosstraining, which basically means that I have an exceptionally random slew of physical activities that I enjoy enough to try to make them part of my training program. Today's crosstraining activity?

SOLO DANCE PARTY!

Be amazed by my vertical jump- ignore the sloppy left foot, and please don't show this picture to my dance teacher...

My apartment is small and I have been known to injure myself during solo dance parties (most recently a faceplant into the TV- I go hard core), but the risk is well worth the reward. My favorite type of solo dance party is the "teach yourself the choreography from a HAWT video" party.

I recommend :

And of course...

Solo dance parties can be a quick 10 minute HIIT workout, or a 3 hour long, dance-until-you-figure-it-out marathon. I highly recommend it! :)

I'm getting ready to head out for a quick speed run now- when I return I'll hop in the shower and then head into Manhattan to pick my sister up from the train station! Fun shenanigans will ensue! :)

Do you have solo dance parties? What is your favorite music video choreography of all time???

@ Mrs. Britton- ahhahahahaha! I love it! :) I haven't used baby oil in a solo dance party yet, but there's a first for everything! :)

@Nancy- YES! Dance parties with kids are THE BEST!
