Oyyy... Getting out of bed this morning was NOT easy. Good thing I had some joats and iced coffee waiting for me. Today's joats contained 1/2 c soymilk, 1 c water, 1 tbsp ground flax seed, 1 tbsp chia seeds and vanilla protein.
Mmmm... cooling.
It was a LONG day of teaching- or at least it felt that way, due to my crappy 4 or so hours of sleep. I had my usual DD lunch, which held me over for the rest of the afternoon.
I was STARVING by the time I arrived at home, so I reheated some leftovers from yesterday's beach BBQ!
My workout schedule has been all out of sorts this week- I'm taking a last minute trip upstate to help my mom transition back home after being in the hospital/ rehab for a few weeks- it'll be nice to get to see her and my sisters and help out with the process, but somehow I never manage to get many decent workouts in while I'm traveling. Luckily I HAVE been getting in some killer "warmups" (aka me making my students work out with me) while teaching this week.
Something I DO usually squeeze in while away from home are random bouts of bodyweight training. I recently STUMBLED across this article on Zen To Fitness about bodyweight training- I'm a huge fan and this piece sort of breaks it all down. Check it out!
