News, Travel and Adventures Ahoy!

*Deep Inhale*
OK. Today is my last day of teaching my Bronx students. I'm prepared to weep like a fool. And then I return to Brooklyn for a quick 45 minute packing spree before running off to teach my Brooklyn students (half of whom I will work with this summer- this is my last day with the other half)- cue more tears.

And THENNNNN... I'm off to cheer on my super sassy sister at the preliminary night of Miss New York 2011!
(To read about my pageant past, check out: www.missbrooklyn2009.blogspot.com and www.keeliesheridan.blogspot.com- posts before Feb 2011).

My sisters and I at a Miss NY Fashion Show- from L to R- Courtney Sheridan- Miss Empire Rose 2010, Me- Miss Greater NYC 2010, and Kieren- Miss Mohawk Valley 2010.

This time last year, I was doing this:

And this:

What a difference a year makes! I could have never foreseen how many exciting opportunities I'd be faced with at this moment. Looking back, I'm so grateful for my pageant experiences because they taught me a lot about myself.

After this weekend's Miss NY Pageant in Staten Island, I'm heading back upstate to visit my family and friends for a week before driving to Little Switzerland, NC for a playwrighting residency at Wildacres Retreat!

WORKOUT RECAP:

Yesterday I went out for what was supposed to be a 6 mile run, but cut it to 5.4 miles. About 3 miles in, I got extremely light headed and nauseous. This is the THIRD run in a row that this has happened to me? I'm hydrated and fueled.... What is going on?!?!

I worked out with a friend later on yesterday evening- she hasn't worked out in a while (5 years, to be exact) and is looking to shape up. She did great! We went for a quick one-mile and then did some body weight strength moves and stretched.
Do you have any exciting adventures coming up?!
