Schedule Shift!

Today's a bit of an irregular day for me- my students have a 1/2 day today, so instead of teaching at my school in Brooklyn, I'll be headed into Manhattan for some planning meetings for teaching over the summer. I'm off to prep for my meeting, but I wanted to quickly put a few things out there:

1) I finally got around to creating a Facebook page for this blog! Check it out here or click through the badge on the left! Do you have a Facebook page for your blog?! Let me know! I love "LIKE"-ing your pages! :)

2) I'm considering purchasing a Garmin Forerunner 305- I know there are newer versions, but I think this one will be the most financially do-able for me. Does anyone have one? Or another brand of similar device (heart rate monitor- GPS- pace tracker)?

3) I have the best friends EVER, who have showered me with love for my birthday (May 27th). My girlfriend Kira got me my new Merrell Pace Gloves (which I LOVE- expect a review soon). My SIL got me an adorable Ghost Pepper Plant. My hubs got me an iPod Touch! My dad and aunt gave me some $$ towards a bike! My MIL and FIL got me a gorgeous necklace! My AWESOME trainer/ surrogate mom Ellen Stein got me a 14kg kettlebell! AND last night, a box of goodies from my friends Matt and Inga in Hawaii arrived.

Chocolate Macadamia Hawaiian Coffee, Soy Candles, a gorgeous headband (which I'm wearing like a sweat band in this pic. shhhh....) and a lei! :)

P.S. Don't judge me by my teenage bedroom-esque apartment (yes, that's Guitar Hero) and Irish Step Dance costume hanging in the background! :)

I use a Garmin 110 and love everything about it! I have small wrists and this doesn't overtake it. Plus it does does everything I need it to!

I have the 205 and Love it!! I got it off ebay for $80 which is a lot less than new. It does everything the 305 does except for the heart rate, but I don't care about that (I know I probably should though!)
